This is a cool example of when you combine Javascript and Java in a web application. Its a photo editor that can do some pretty amazing things like 3-D slideshow (HW accelerated too) especially considering its a web app.

A photo editor web application has been done before but not like this. It features drag and drop desktop support, hardware accelerated 3-D slideshow, and integration with Flixr. It appears to be very slick and there is also and online demo. Check it out!
